What a weekend this was, The Christmas Market on the Saturday followed by the walk on the Sunday Morning. Fantastic turn out yesterday, considering it was a Spanish holiday and many of the children were away.
A huge amount from the schools and locals turned up, most of our dogs were walked and were joined by many owned dogs and their families. Lots and lots of Barkinside dogs, still with us and those rehomed, fantastic. The weather was beautiful, the sun shone and everyone had a great morning. The children all received free hots dogs and soft drinks, a Christmas gift of a DVD and chocolate homemade snowmen and santas.
The Raffle, was as always a huge success, raising great excitement and lots of money. Massive thank you’s to those who volunteered their help on the day Group Leaders: Christine Bock, Janni Menday, Gill Dale, Andrew Stringer and Mr G (who also ferried the dogs back and forth to the rescue). The Marshals, Roger Kingham, Stewart Dale and William Hill (aka Santa). The Team on the tables: Marianne Stringer, Chris Robinson (aka Mrs Santa) also served the children the hot dogs. William Hill (Santa) and Roger in charge of the Random Raffle. Hilary Thomson came along with her stand of homemade goodies. Mary Van den Broaek for the wonderful photos. Sharon Healey and Keeley Poole from The Old Bell for hosting the event. Last of all my great friend Lisa South who works so closely with Barkinside and the children, working very hard to make this happen. Fantastic job from everyone xx
